Twelve years after the last edition, Gea World renews the event and takes it to China thanks to a partnership with Beijing investors: it will take place in the Chinese capital in November 2017.
A global event with a strong Italian mark: it will be presented today in Rome, it is called G-EXPO and it is the football exhibition that will take place in Beijing on November 8th and 9th 2017, organized by GEA CHINA. The historic sports marketing agency led by Alessandro Moggi GEA WORLD, that during the Italian football golden age organized four editions of EXPOGOAL, signed a partnership with the Chinese production agency ALL TIME MEDIA creating a joint venture. “Fifteen years ago – president of GEA WORLD explains – Italy was the center of the football world; today, as proven by both the investments on the football market from Chinese clubs, and the acquisition of European clubs and top players in communication, opening up to the world is an opportunity more than a need. Being the first Italian company that will hold an event like G-EXPO fills me with pride”.
But the experience gained by GEA WORLD during the EXPOGOAL years will be integrated with a world that has experienced at least two major transformations: the marketing one and the race to engagement, mechanisms allowing all the parts involved to increase the fan basis and therefor the income. The Chinese two-day event in November will be oriented exactly on these two tracks.
As a matter of fact, the first day will be specifically for the professionals, with dedicated meetings, oriented towards innovation and business-to-business after the experience GEA WORLD gained organizing SPORTHACKTAG in 2016. The second day will be for the fans: there will be meetings with top players, testimonials and activities, both live and digital, to give the Chinese fans (and not only) a complete experience.
“The Italian know-how is one of the keys Chinese football needs to be able to grow – said Xin Chen, president of ALL TIME MEDIA and GEA WORLD partner -. Champions and structure investments are important, but I strongly believe that only by acquiring competences we can get close to the models that have been perfecting themselves during the past century. On the other side, (I would like to underline/remind everyone that) G-EXPO is not a Chinese event only, but a global one: Italian football itself will have the chance to have an overview of what happens across their borders”.
Several global football top players are already G-EXPO ambassadors: participants of the presentation press conference in Rome were: Leonardo Araujo, Fabio Capello, Alessandro Del Piero, Alessandro Florenzi e Ciro Immobile.
